A message from the founder:

Achievement is shaped by sustained effort and grit. Anyone can leave their mark on the game. It’s time for you to leave yours.

I fell in love with baseball at a young age. The Stellar star comes from the 8 year old me making the all-star team at my little league. I've learned so much throughout my career, but one thing above all others sticks out.

Unwavering confidence and self-belief are probably the most important things a baseball player could have. If you play this game long enough and at a high enough level, you will experience failure and self-doubt. Because of the nature of the sport and how much you will fail, you have to have confidence and self-belief.

Steve Springer says it best: "When you are 0-3 with 3 strikeouts do you look at the lineup in the 9th and say, 'I need 2 guys to get on so I can be the hero.'"

That to me is what it means to Play Stellar and the mentality you have to have as an athlete and competitor. That quote shaped my career in a lot of positive ways.

I wanted to start a batting glove company because I love baseball and wanted a way to stay in the game as my career was coming to an end. Baseball gear in general, but batting gloves especially, are a very personal and important part of a baseball player's life. I never found batting gloves throughout my career that I absolutely loved. Knowing what is hot in today's market, I had new ideas for a great design. I created a glove that is durable, comfortable, fits well and snug, is lightweight, breathable, and hopefully has swag. I'll let the kids be the judge of that.

It took me months to come up with a brand name and logo. I realized the most important thing is the feeling I created around the brand and the brand message. There is no better way to bring legit batting gloves to the market than to encourage players to play with a fearless mentality. That's the impact I want Stellar to have. It is not just a batting glove, but an identity. I hope that the Stellar logo brings all of a player's success and hard work to the forefront of their mind every time they look at it. A simple reminder when stepping in the box how good of a player you are. Be the 8 year old version of you that just loved it. That's our story and that's what it means to Play Stellar.
